A lot of steps to take and there really were no usable results shown.

Query set was too small to show any difference in query performance. Having to start a windows server was the hardest part of the whole day. Would recommend using a small instance with a mysql shell or something similar.

Comparing query performance between MySQL and Aurora on such a small dataset is not really valid - both queries execute in very minimal time. If there is a performance difference, it would not be noticed in this scenario.
