Introduction to Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) (Linux)Ir al Laboratorio
sqlstack security group on RDS only had RDP rule on port 3389, hence I could not connect with mysql client on port 3306 without editing the security group
Seems like there's several missing steps - I had issues SSHing into the EC2 instance and had to temporarily allow all traffic in order to get through. Then the RDS didn't allow any incoming connections since the qlstack SG only had inbound RDP. After adding an inbound rule for MySQL, I was able to execute the show databases command.
very useful, thanks
. Publically Accessible: No should be YES to access RDS from EC2?
Completing the lab required help--the security group set up automatically for the lab has the wrong port for MySQL (3389 rather than 3306).
The lab did not work. When doing mySQL from the EC2 box the connection times out. please review the instructions.
It' awesome. Thank's you very much :D
