I got kicked out of the Putty and when I tried to get back in, I kept getting "publickey fatal error ". I had to end the lab and restart.

No satisfied at all. The first command did not include the --load-balancer-names option, so when I terminated the instance, the load balancer did not realize it and I could not continue with the lab :(
