Using Windows PowerShell Desired State Configuration in AWSGo to Lab
Kind of copy and paste
The steps, over 100, are informative as to what needs to be done, but there are minimal details as to what is accomplished by each group of steps. It's a good setup tutorial.
Very useful. Thanks!
passwords should be in one place rather than having to locate them, copy and paste doesn't always work, each step should be explained why you are doing them!
did not start
Could use a little more description as to the purpose of the various DSC files/commands for those who don't have pre-existing knowledge of DSC
Not really AWS feature but still cool lab
The lab should have configured the pull interval for 5 minutes so that the student could actually validate the configuration of the IIS feature. I don't see how this lab was of any value for teaching Microsoft DSC or AWS EC2. There are far better learning resources online for free to actually learn and understand DSC. Any student would be misled to believe that they know something about DSC or AWS from completing this lab.
Need to add note regarding the need to add in a WinRM security rule in the AWS console.
add step to open winrm port to security group
The DC user is Administrator not administrator
