I just stood up an instance, I didn't actually learn what was happening with the media upload or how it was uploading.

The Ruby version is too old to install the gem, which resulted in an error.

it worked well which is nice , permissions screen has changed (step 6/7) so it was a bit confusing. It says "when you are in the console, do not deviate from the lab instructions. Doing so may cause your account to be blocked". But if you follow the instructions there is very little to be learnt

The script didn't work. I haven't looked into the details, but there may be a problem with the Ruby version. https://s3.amazonaws.com/us-east-1-aws-training/self-paced-lab-11/rails-app/spl11-bootstrapv2.sh [ec2-user@ip-172-31-22-180 spl11]$ ruby -v ruby 2.0.0p648 (2015-12-16) [x86_64-linux] [ec2-user@ip-172-31-22-180 spl11]$ sudo gem install io-console ERROR: Error installing io-console: io-console requires Ruby version >= 2.2.0.
