Working with Amazon EC2 Container ServiceGo to Lab
a little more explanation of the task document
bland teacher us how to make our own container
I had a weird issue updating to a new version because I incorrectly failed to increment the number of tasks. I ended up having two different versions of the task running concurrently, and I never was able to match the number of expected tasks of each version to the actual number. To migrate to the correct version of the task, I had to increment the number of tasks from 4 to 5, but that requirement was not explained. I think the behavior is unnecessarily complicated because the two versions run on the same port. You end up with a port conflict when you transition from one version to the next, and that shows up in the logs. The tutorial simplifies something which is in reality more complex.
basic, but provided a good understanding of how the ECS service works.
auto-scaling had an error. It looked like it was a permissions-related issue.
